A small-business accountant
in Dallas.
Monthly bookkeeping and tax preparation for Dallas small businesses — from Deep Ellum to Uptown to everywhere in the metroplex. Flat monthly pricing. A real person you can email. Books current within 30 days — or your next month is free.

Serving Dallas and the DFW metroplex.
We work with small businesses across the DFW metro. Everything is delivered remotely — you send us what you have, we do the work, you approve. But we know the local terrain: Texas has no state income tax, but the franchise tax (margin tax) trips up every growing business, and the combined sales tax rate in Dallas County is one to watch.
If your business runs in one of these neighborhoods (or anywhere in the DFW metroplex, from Fort Worth to Plano to Arlington), we're a fit.

Sound familiar? Here’s exactly what we do about it.
“I have a shoebox of receipts and no idea where to start.”
Send us the shoebox. We build your books from scratch. Your first month is on us if we can’t get you current within 30 days.
“My last accountant took 8 days to reply.”
Yes, it’s written into your invoice. We track it. You see it.
“I’m terrified of an IRS audit.”
Three specific checks, every return, every time. Ask us to walk you through them on your discovery call.
Four services. Zero jargon. Real deliverables.
Monthly bookkeeping
“The shoebox problem”
Send us anything. We categorise it. You get one clean report on the 5th of every month.
Tax preparation
“The 11pm-Google problem”
Federal, state, local. Every deduction. We file. You approve. Nobody Googles “K-1” at 11pm ever again.
Quarterly tax planning
“The “am I paying too much?” problem”
Every three months we tell you exactly what to owe — and how to owe less next year.
Audit support & representation
“The “the IRS just called” problem”
We pick up. We prepare the paperwork. We show up with you. You are not alone in that room.

Hi, I’m Njock.
I co-founded NJ’s Accounting and Tax Services because small businesses deserve an accountant who answers the email. I’m QuickBooks-certified, working on my CFO certification, and I’ve spent enough years doing this to know what a bad quarter feels like.
When you email us, I’m the one who answers. Not a receptionist, not a bot, not a junior.
What actually happens after you say yes.
Free. No pitch. We just listen and tell you if we’re a fit.
Last 3 months of receipts, statements, and last year’s return. That’s it.
End of month: you get a walkthrough call and a clean report on Day 30.
One check-in call per month. No surprises. Ever.
Questions Dallas small-business owners ask us most.
- Do you actually work with Dallas small businesses, or is this just an SEO page?
- We work with small businesses across the DFW metroplex — every neighborhood listed above, from Deep Ellum to Fort Worth. All work is delivered remotely, but we know Texas filing rules cold. If we don't think we're a fit, we'll tell you on the discovery call — free.
- Texas has no income tax — so what do I even need an accountant for?
- No state income tax doesn't mean no tax obligations. Texas has a franchise tax (also called the margin tax) that applies once your revenue crosses a threshold. You still file federal taxes, manage payroll, and deal with sales tax. Clean books also matter for lending, investors, and knowing whether your business is actually profitable.
- How does the Texas franchise tax (margin tax) work?
- The franchise tax applies to most entities doing business in Texas once total revenue exceeds the no-tax-due threshold (which changes periodically — worth confirming with us). You calculate it based on total revenue minus either cost of goods sold or compensation. We handle the annual report and payment as part of Growth and Full-Service plans.
- What about Texas sales tax and the Dallas County rate?
- Texas state sales tax plus the Dallas local addition gives you a combined rate that applies to most tangible goods and some services. If you sell online, post-Wayfair nexus rules mean you may owe tax in other states too. We map your actual nexus exposure and file where you owe — nowhere you don't.
- Are you a CPA firm? Do I need one for a Dallas small business?
- Njock is an accountant, not a CPA — which is honestly what most small businesses actually need. If your situation calls for CPA-level representation (Texas Comptroller audit, IRS field audit, complex M&A), we'll say so upfront and either bring in a CPA partner or refer you out. No ego, no upsell.
- Do you have a Dallas office I can visit?
- No — and we're transparent about it. We keep overhead low so we can charge $299/mo instead of $600. Every client works with us over email, video, and phone. If in-person matters to you, we'll tell you honestly on the discovery call so you can decide.
